Joe started playing table tennis at the age of 11 and quickly moved up the ranks to become one of Minnesota's top players. Joe has received extensive coaching from Mitch Seidenfeld, USATT Hall of Fame player/coach. His all-around/offensive game and ability to strategize against opponents have made him very difficult to beat. His career is filled with many highlights and accomplishments:

Minnesota Doubles Champion: 5 years including 2019
Minnesota Hardbat Open Champion: 2017
Junior National Team Alternate: 2003
Iowa City Spring Open Champion: 2018
U.S. U2200 Tiered Super Round-Robin National Champion: 2018
USATT Club Coach
Joe started coaching table tennis on a part-time basis in 2015. He ended a very successful career (10 years) at U.S. Bank in January 2018. Since then, Joe has devoted all his time and energy to developing his skills as both a player and full-time coach. He coaches players of all ages (7-80) and skill levels. Styles of players Joe can coach: offensive, defensive, all around, anti-spin, and short/long pips.
Outside of Table Tennis
Joe is an avid runner and has completed the Twin Cities Marathon in 2014 and 2017.
Joe also enjoys working out, rock climbing, golfing, skiing, and biking.
Joe takes great pride in maintaining a healthy diet and lifestyle.
Joe is a proud single father of his daughter, Maddie. She is becoming quite the player herself.
